Submission of Thesis Plan The Graduate School announces the schedule and procedures for submitting thesis plans for the Spring 2026 semester. Students who intend to submit their thesis/dissertation for degree conferral in or after the Fall 2026 semester must submit their plan within the period specified below. 1. Eligibility A. Master’s and Integrated programs: Students who have earned at least 12 credits in major courses B. Doctoral program: Students who have earned at least 9 credits in major courses ※ Note: Submission of a thesis plan is a mandatory prerequisite for the final degree defense. If you plan to graduate in or after the Fall 2026 semester, you must complete this step during the current semester. 2. Submission Period: April 14th(Tue), 2026 ~ April 16th(Thu), 2026 3. Submission Procedure (Student → Department) 1) Print the Cover Page - Log in to the Portal → Academic Affairs Information → Grade/Graduation (성적/졸업) → Registration of Thesis Proposal (논문계획서 등록) - Enter the thesis title and click [Print Thesis Cover] 2) Prepare the Thesis Plan - Download and complete the attached “Thesis Plan Form.” 3) Submit the Documents - Obtain your Academic Advisor’s signature on both the Cover Page and the Thesis Plan Form - Submit the signed documents to your Department office Attachment: Thesis Plan Form

Guide to Using the Thesis Plagiarism Prevention System (Turnitin) The Graduate School mandates the use of the Turnitin plagiarism prevention system to ensure academic integrity and help students proactively prevent plagiarism by self-checking the similarity of their theses. All applicants for the thesis defense must conduct a similarity check according to the following guidelines and submit the results as required. 1. Eligibility: Students scheduled to submit their thesis in the 2026-1 semester (Expected graduation: August 2026) 2. Account Creation Process Step 1 Application Submit an application via Google Forms ▪ Required information: Affiliation, Department, Student ID, Name, Ajou University Email, Purpose of Use. ※ Note: You MUST use your Ajou University email address. Accounts cannot be created with external emails (Naver, Gmail, etc.) ▪ Link: https://forms.gle/RcgYUfWuZfZSWYjD9 ▪ Application Period: April 6 (Mon) - May 15 (Fri), 2026 ▼ Step 2 Batch Creation Applications will be processed every Tuesday and Friday to create accounts ▼ Step 3 Welcome Email A "Welcome Email" will be automatically sent to your Ajou email once the account is created ▼ Step 4 Set up Account Click the [Set up account] button in the Welcome Email ▼ Step 5 Authentication Complete authentication using your email address and Last Name ▼ Step 6 Security Question Set up your security question and password to complete the process 3. Class Access and Submission - Log in to Turnitin and access the class titled "Ajou Graduate Thesis Check 2026" * Upload your entire dissertation (Full-text) to the "Non-Repository" assignment folder to prevent future self-overlap * Ensure the title of the uploaded file is accurate - Download the required result files: [Current View] and [Digital Receipt] 4. Important Notes - Advisor's Confirmation: The [Certificate of Plagiarism Check for Dissertation] (including similarity %, total page count, and advisor's opinion) must be directly verified and completed by the Academic Advisor. - Plagiarism Criteria: There is no absolute similarity (%) threshold. Application for Credit Recognition from Previous Graduate School and Special Master’s-level Courses, Spring 2026 This notice provides information regarding the application procedures for credit recognition of credits earned at previous graduate institutions for the Spring 2026 semester. Newly admitted students for Spring 2026 and currently enrolled students seeking credit recognition are required to submit the necessary documents to their department office within the designated period below. 1. Credit Recognition for Courses Completed at a Previous Graduate Institution a. Eligibility - New and transfer students admitted to the same degree program as their previous graduate institution: 1) Master’s program: Up to one-half of the total graduation credits required by the department may be recognized, within the limit of credits earned at the previous institution 2) Doctoral program: Up to one-half of the total graduation credits required by the department may be recognized, within the limit of credits earned at the previous institution 3) Integrated program: Up to one-half of the total graduation credits required by the department may be recognized (For credits completed in a previous Master’s program, up to one-half of the required major credits may be recognized) b. Evaluation Procedure - Credits are reviewed by the department’s academic committee consisting of three faculty members - Final approval is granted by the Graduate School d. Applying for comprehensive examination of Spring semester, 2026 We would like to inform you of the matters regarding the comprehensive examination of Spring Semester, 2026 so if you want to take the exam run by each departments should apply within the due date. 1. Qualification: Student who earned 18 credits or more of major course for each degree course and 3.0 or better average grade and have applied for the exam during the application period with the recommendation of faculty advisor(The faculty advisor will process the exam procedure on AIMS) 2. Application period: March 11 (Wed), 2026, 09:00 – March 13 (Fri), 2026, 23:59 3. Procedure : application on the website(login to Portal → ‘Academic Affairs Information' → ‘Grade/Graduation'(on the upper side) → ‘Comprehensive Examination Application'(on the left side)) 4. Date of exam: To be announced by the departments during April - Please refer to the notice board from each departments for the details. 5. Passing : 60 points or higher out of the total of 100 points for each degree program - If failed to pass, re-taking of exam is possible regardless of number of tests taken 6. Study subject for examination - Master's program : MajorⅠ, MajorⅡ - Doctorate program and integrated program : MajorⅠ, MajorⅡ * As general test is progressed by study subject, inquire about detailed subjects and schedule to department 7. Caution on applicants for qualifying examination - Before submitting the application, the test result has to be confirmed via Internet to ensure accurate application - The application period of academic affairs schedule for each semester has to be complied with, and the reception is not allowed after the deadline date that the note has to be made. (The schedule may be modified depending on the situation, and if indeed modified, it shall be posted on the homepage.) 9.
